Assisting the Next Generation of Mariners

The Hellenic Archaeological Exploration Society in its mission to maximize its contributions to education has collaborated with Ilios Remote Sensing to create a virtual tour to assist in the training of the Sea Scouts in their mission to create merchant marines for future generations.

The virtual tour provides vessel familiarization, compartment and machinery-space orientation, equipment identification through interactive tags, emergency-route familiarization, location of safety equipment, onboarding new crew, pre-boarding orientation, maintenance familiarization, and potentially linking tags to manuals, procedures, diagrams, or training material.
