In July 2026, the Hellenic Archaeological Exploration Society with its industry partners Ilios Remote Sensing and Norsk Remote Sensing will be scanning an archiological site in Greece that is a UNESCO World Heritage site. In addition, a presentation on laser scanning and the application to archaeology will be provided to the university students participating in the excavation.

For our laser scanning expert, Jerry Dawson, of Norsk Remote Sensing, this will be his second UNESCO World Heritage site.

The first site is the Bahrain Fortress.
