Here is an update for our first project. We will be introducing the first-ever use of close-range, high-detail, dynamic 3D LiDAR (a laser technology) specifically for documenting underwater archaeological sites. The technology we will be introducing will be both financially and logistically practical for maritime archaeological organizations and universities to operate. The remaining components that are currently under development will not be ready until late summer/early fall. Therefore we will be ready well in advance of May 2023 when the maritime archaeology season begins in Greece next year.
Hellenic Archaeological Exploration Society
The Hellenic Archaeological Exploration Society is an AHEPA National Project. The purpose of this NGO is to facilitate archaeological projects in Greece, with an emphasis on maritime archaeology.
